Why is my positive displacement blower overheating and losing pressure?
Overheating and sudden pressure drops are usually signs of excessive internal slip. When the tolerances between the lobes and casing wear down, air slips back to the suction side, creating friction heat. We resolve this by reclaiming the housing bore and grinding the lobes back to factory spec.
How often should the timing gears be aligned on a Roots blower?
Timing gears must be aligned during every overhaul or after a sudden torque spike. Incorrect timing leads to lobe-to-lobe contact and total lockup. We press-fit and lock all gears in-house using specialized jigs to guarantee perfect synchronization.
What is involved in the dynamic balancing of a multi-stage blower?
Centrifugal blower impellers run at extreme RPMs. We mount the rotor assembly on our Schenck balancing machine and balance to ISO G2.5 specifications. This eliminates vibration and drastically extends the life of the bearings and shafts.
